Equipment

  • High-speed blender, such as a Vitamix

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach or other greens
  • 2 apples cored and cut into chunks (no peeling needed)
  • 1 large avocado about 201 g
  • 1-3 teaspoons fresh lemon juice optional
  • 1 inch cube of fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon freeze-dried mint or 10–20 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Add apple and avocado chunks to the blender.
  • Add lemon juice, ginger, and mint.
  • Add spinach or other greens.
  • Pour in one cup of water.
  • Blend until smooth (on a Vitamix, select the smoothie setting).
